3MT(Three Minute Thesis)는 복잡하고 방대한 연구 내용을 짧고 명확하게 요약하여 대중에게 전달하는 역량을 기르는 대회입니다. 3분이라는 시간은 발표자가 연구의 핵심을 효과적으로 구조화하고, 비전문가(청중)도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 소통하는 능력을 평가하기 가장 좋은 시간입니다.
이 대회를 준비하는 과정 자체가 학술 커뮤니케이션 능력을 키워줄 뿐만 아니라, 향후 학회 포스터 발표, 취업 인터뷰, 대중 강연을 준비하는 데 엄청난 자산이 됩니다.
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is a competition that develops students' capacities to explain their research effectively in a short period to a non-specialist audience. The 3-minute limit forces presenters to structure the core of their research effectively and evaluates their ability to communicate in a way that non-experts can easily understand.
Preparing for this competition not only enhances academic communication skills but also serves as a tremendous asset for future conference poster presentations, job interviews, and public lectures.

- 석사과정생: 현재 준비 및 진행 중인 연구 내용을 바탕으로 참가 가능 Master's Students: Eligible to participate based on current or ongoing research contents. 硕士课程生：可基于目前准备及进行中的研究内容参赛。
- 박사과정생: 초기 단계(디저테이션 주제 미확정)인 경우 석사학위 논문으로 참가 가능하며, 연구 수행 단계인 경우 박사학위 논문 주제로 참가 가능 Doctoral Students: In the early stages (unconfirmed dissertation topic), they can present using their Master's thesis; in the research phase, they can present on their Ph.D. dissertation topic. 博士课程生：处于初期阶段（博士论文题目未确定）者可以硕士学位论文参赛，处于研究实施阶段者可以博士学位论文题目参赛。

- 본교 세종캠퍼스 경연대회는 석·박사 과정 모두 참가 및 시상이 가능하나, 본교 우승 이후 연계되는 전국대회 및 세계대회(Asia-Pacific 3MT 등)의 경우 주관기관 규정에 따라 박사학위 소속(과정 및 수료생)만 진출이 가능합니다. Both Master's and Doctoral students can participate and receive awards in the KUS campus competition. However, for the subsequent National and International Competitions (e.g., Asia-Pacific 3MT), only Doctoral status students (enrolled or completed) can advance according to the host organizations' regulations. 本校世宗校区的竞赛硕士、博士课程生均可参加并获得奖项。但是，根据主办机构的规定，获得本校冠军后对接的全国竞赛及世界竞赛（Asia-Pacific 3MT等），仅限博士学位所属人员（在读及结业生）晋级。

- 발표 주제: 반드시 📝 본인의 학위 논문 주제를 바탕으로 내용을 구성해야 합니다. Topic: Content must be constructed based on 📝 your own thesis/dissertation topic. 演讲主题：必须基于📝 本人的学位论文主题构建内容。
- 발표 언어: 글로벌 학술 커뮤니케이션 대회 취지에 따라 발표는 반드시 영어로 진행해야 하며, 비전공자 청중도 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 구성해야 합니다. Language: In alignment with the purpose of a global academic communication competition, the presentation must be delivered in English and structured so that a non-specialist audience can easily understand. 演讲语言：根据全球学术交流竞赛的宗旨，演讲必须用英语进行，且内容应确保非专业听众也能轻松理解。
대회는 예선(비대면)과 본선(대면)으로 나뉘며, 제출 및 발표 규정이 매우 엄격하므로 주의해야 합니다. The competition is divided into preliminary (virtual) and final (in-person) rounds. Please note that submission and presentation rules are very strict. 比赛分为初赛（非面授）和决赛（面授），提交及演讲规定非常严格，需多加注意。

촬영 주의사항:
- 가로(랜드스케이프) 방향 촬영
- 무늬 없는 단색 배경 앞 고정 촬영
- 카메라 앵글 편집 없이 처음부터 끝까지 원테이크 연속 녹화 (음향 편집 불가)
- 3MT 타이틀 슬라이드와 발표용 PPT 1장이 반드시 영상 내에 포함되어야 함 (우측 상단 등에 최대 1분까지 삽입 가능)
Submissions: 1 PowerPoint slide, script, abstract, and video link.
Filming Precautions:
- Filmed horizontally (Landscape mode)
- Filmed from a static position against a plain background
- Continuous one-take recording from start to finish without camera angle edits (No audio edits allowed)
- 3MT title slide and 1 presentation slide must be included in the video (Can be inserted on top right, etc., for up to 1 minute)

- 横向（横屏）画面拍摄
- 在无图案的单色背景前固定位置拍摄

진행 방식 및 주의사항:
- 관객과 심사위원 앞에서 3분간 직접 무대 발표를 진행합니다.
- 발표 시작 시점부터 단일 PPT 슬라이드가 화면에 띄워져 있어야 합니다.
- [타이머 작동] 발표자가 무대 위에서 첫 말(Speech)이나 움직임(Action)으로 발표를 개시하는 순간부터 측정됩니다.
- [소품 제한] 의상, 악기, 실험 장비는 물론 무대 위 레이저 포인터 등 추가 기기 사용이 일절 금지됩니다.
Target: Preliminary qualifiers (who completed mandatory training).
Format & Rules:
- Deliver a live stage presentation for 3 minutes before an audience and judges.
- A single static slide must be displayed from the beginning of the presentation.
- [Timer Starts] Timing commences when the presenter starts through either speech or movement.
- [Props Prohibited] The use of costumes, musical instruments, lab equipment, and additional electronic devices like laser pointers is strictly prohibited.

- 从演讲开始时起，屏幕上必须显示单张PPT幻灯片。

- 소품 사용 불가: 발표용 의상, 악기, 실험 장비, 레이저 포인터 등 추가 소품은 전혀 사용할 수 없습니다. No Props: Additional props, including costumes, musical instruments, lab equipment, or laser pointers, are not permitted at any time. 不可使用道具：完全不可使用演讲用服装、乐器、实验设备、激光笔等附加道具。
- 형식 제한: 구어(Spoken Word) 형식으로만 발표해야 합니다. 시 낭송, 랩, 노래 등은 허용되지 않습니다. Format Limitation: Presentations are to be spoken word only (e.g., no poems, raps, or songs). 形式限制：必须仅以口语（Spoken Word）形式进行演讲。不允许诗歌朗诵、说唱、唱歌等。
- 추가 매체 금지: 발표 중간에 별도의 오디오 파일이나 배경 동영상을 재생할 수 없습니다. No Additional Media: No additional electronic media (e.g., sound or background video files) are permitted. 禁止附加媒体：演讲过程中不得播放单独的音频文件或背景视频。
